The Department of Safety Health and Environmental Engineering (SHEE) was established at National Yunlin University of Science and Technology (YunTech) in 1992.

SHEE offers a comprehensive program leading to Bachelor’s, Master’s, PhD and In-service master program degrees.

Collaborating with the four research centers at Yuntech—the Research Center for Industrial Pollution Prevention, the Center for Advanced Processing and Analysis, the Research Center for Soil and Water Resources and Natural Disaster Prevention, and the Emergency Response Information Center, the Department intergrades the human resources in the related fields to strengthen both the depth and width of teaching and research areas for the students who have been in different fields of professions.

After possessing the concepts and skills in environmental pollution control and industrial safety and health, the students can utilize their original specialties to solve problems related to safety, health, and environment.
